HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I hope my fellow Larkers had a great Mother's Day! I had to work but I didn't mind. I was all alone at the office so had a nice quiet day and got a lot accomplished.

My daughter called me and we chatted for a while. We actually celebrated together last weekend by going to our favorite place, St. Augustine. We went for the day and had a nice time walking the shops. She bought me lunch and the card she gave me almost made me cry. She wrote the sweetest thing in it. She said she hoped her daughter grew up to like her as much as she liked me.

Wasn't that sweet?

Happy Mother's Day to you all too!

My kids gave me a fern plant that will go in the garden they and my hubby have been working on. I'm not a garderner but I love flower gardens so this is one that they have been planning to do for me. It got so cold today we had to turn on the heat!

Beautiful on your daughter! I know, mine are 19 and 23. They grow so fast!

Mother's Day in the UK is on a different day - month even, being in March, so it was wonderful to get a phone call from my son, my daughter in law and the grandkids. It was so fantastic and made my day.
Did I have a happy Mother's Day? You bet.

Thanks Caffey. I love flowers but I don't have a green thumb. My indoor plants are plastic but the outside takes care of itself with a little help from hubby:)

Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day!

I didn't realize that, Margaret. I imagine any day you get a call from your son and his family that it makes your day extra special.

Coming to Florida any time soon?

Debbie, I love St. Augustine. My mom took me there when I was a kid. I still treasure that time.
